Back in 2009, my husband gave me a very precious Christmas gift, a lap top. It was a surprise gift I received from him more than two years ago.  It was only two years ago, had I known that the life span of a laptop is that short, I should have put it inside a  GotBriefcases.com aluminum briefcase and wrapped it in a blanket.

We both felt sad about it, a lap top for us is not just an ordinary gadget and we think its a expensive investment. We can’t buy it just like any other grocery item because we need to save a lot and plan well to buy it.

All I can do now is to read the blog post I wrote the night after I received that laptop. You wouldn’t believe my husband was so sweet surprising me with that kind of gift. Should you want to share my kilig moment, please visit here.

I have sinned a lot this past holiday season. Have sinned of eating so much, I can’t stop. Foods are overflowing and I would really pitty myself if I am not going at least try and taste the dishes.

My vacations leaves were all consumed even before my birthday in October that is why I don’t have a choice but to report to work on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, sniff sniff!! Our office offered free meals during the shift while we are working and celebrating the ocassion. Not only that, we feasted also when we visited my grandmother and uncle in Bulacan and then another buffet were waiting to be attacked in Antipolo when we visited Rey’s family. That was only on Christmas Day. Come New Year, we prepared dishes at home even if I need to go to work. Rey likes to have lots of foods to welcome the New Year.
And now is my payback time. The food I ate during the holidays is now hunting me. I gained so much and my appetite increased as well, giving me a hard time to refuse to eat or at least watch my diet. Because of that, I gave in to try some appetite suppressants that is being offered in the market. Finally, I tried the one that is being sold by one of my officemate. I really hope that it will give me good result once I finish the box I was given. But one thing is for sure, it really reduced my appetite!!! Thank you Ian and Sophie for encouraging me use this product.

Gift Giving 2010

Our kids had a blast and enjoyed all the gifts they received this christmas.  After spending half of the day in
Bulacan with my relatives we hit the road going to Antipolo to celebrate christmas too with Rey’s relatives. The traditional gift giving for the kids is always full of fun, not only for the kids but for us too.  Of course its not really price of gifts  that count but the thought of giving is what  is always important.  And true meaning of christmas with being together at least for a day in each year remembering the birth of Jesus Christ.

that’s Gab, excitedly opening his gift with the help of his Papa Rey
very nice gift, thank you Tito Boyboy

that’s Matthew with Ate Yma at his back, saying thank you for his gift from Tito Boyboy
lots  of fun and excitement!!!
this is Ate Yma for her gift to Nanay Pising

There you go, all the kids and adults had fun in the spirit of sharing.  All these made posible with the help of payday cash advance.

Our christmas day celebration is superb.  We visited my grandmother who is my son’s great grandmother in Bulacan and one of my Aunt and Uncle came with us also. My grandmother was really happy to see us all on a christmas day.  This is an event we are all looking forward since my grandmother live in the province and is very seldom here in Manila.

Look at how she had fun with her great grand siblings…

I was brought up by my grandmother and my son is lucky to meet and play with her, very strong at 84 years of age.  And mind you, she do texting a lot!!!

We just had our shopping for christmas 2010 this last Sunday, though we were budgeted, my little boy surely enjoyed his visit at the mall with so many people.  What could I expect, this is the last weekend before Christmas and everyone is rushing.

Not only we were budgeted, we were also time pressured. We were only able to hit few sections in the mall.

behave???

Gab playing hide and seek

We were only able to hit the men’s clothing area, childrens wear and ladies shoes section.   We spent longer than usual to find clothes that will fit Gab.  We initially went to the children’s wear to find something for him but his size was too small for the childrens’s area, so we were sent away to the baby’s section.  Do you think this boy would find his size at infants?  After being shoo away for the 2nd time, we were lucky to pick a size 4 shorts from Garfield and a size 10 shirt from Napoleon.

And because its only eight days before Christmas, I’d like to share this song to everyone.

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire
Jack Frost nipping at your nose
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir
And folks dressed up like Eskimos
Everybody knows a turkey and some mistletoe
Help to make the season bright
Tiny tots with their eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to sleep tonight
They know that Santa’s on his way
He’s loaded lots of toys and goodies on his sleigh
And every mother’s child is gonna spy
To see if reindeer really know how to fly
And so I’m offering this simple phrase,oh
To kids from one to ninety two
Although it’s been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas to you
And so I’m offering this simple phrase
To kids from one to ninety two
Although it’s been said many times, many ways
Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas to you

Our Christmas Tree

Look at how happy and excited we were, we took pictures with Gab in front of our newly installed Christmas tree. We put it up last Monday. Rey is on a holiday and he keeps on begging me to put up our fish tank. I just can’t say yes to him because I am worried that Gab might just hit it with anything and breaks it. He is now 19 months and sometimes very uncooperative. Therefore, I had to give in to Rey when he insisted that we set up our christmas tree. Remember, how I planned setting up the christmas tree after All Saint’s Day, here. I was really undecided because Gab may not cooperate with us when we tell him not too play with it.

And because of me saying yes to Rey, he owe me flowers next Valentine’s Day. I’m excited about it, can’t keep it a secret. Last time he gave me was during our first year wedding anniversary.

Christmas is just around the corner.  In 2 months time, its christmas once again.  By now I am excited to decorate our house for my little boy.  I am thinking of what decors add to what we already have, my baby would love it much.

Since we are now living in Imus Cavite, we can choose to have the best lantern made in Imus.  Gab love those dancing lights on the lantern, he always giggles everytime our car passes by those lanterns for sale along the streets.

I am also going to buy Christmas wreaths, a big one for the main door and 2 small ones just enough for the doors inside the house going to our rooms.

…can’t wait to take another photo of my baby and husband beside the christmas tree
