Angry Birds will be on Facebook on February 14

Angry Birds is coming to Facebook.  If you’re addicted to wildly popular the bird-vs-pigs game, you’ll surely celebrate the arrival of the game to the also wildly popular social networking site.   Angry Birds is from the company Rovio who has turned the game into one of the biggest names in mobile gaming.  It’s on iOS, Android, Symbian, Windows Phone and what have you.  The game itself has spawned sequels and the characters are so popular you see them almost on every merchandise.

It appears that Rovio is not satisfied with just conquering the mobile gaming world.  It’s bound to conquer the desktop too.  The company has officially announced that Angry Birds will be coming to Facebook and the date it chose is February 14, 2012.  Nothing like a cute game to boost your mood on Valentine’s Day.   Please see the teaser video by clicking Source below.  There’s not much detail yet but the wait won’t be that long.

Facebook Timeline Mandatory on Facebook Now and How to Set up

If you are an avid and heavy user of Facebook, chances are, you have encountered already the Timeline. Facebook did a massive campaign on this which started weeks ago. There was a pop up that will see when you go to your account asking you to go throuht it.

I already did but until now, I am confused on what I will do.  Good thing is, my friend blogger had a few steps to share with us on how we can utilize timeline.

Here are the reminders my friend wants to share:

  • Facebook will make Timeline mandatory in the next few weeks.  As to when the exact date will be, on Facebook knows as of now.
  • You can opt to activate Timeline now by going to facebook.com/timeline or you can wait for Facebook to notify you (via your profile, or some notification in the UI) that the Timeline feature is already active.
  • You only have 7 days from the activation of Timeline to edit and preview your profile.  Otherwise, if the 7 days lapse, the Timeline will be published and all your friends will see the stuff in your Timeline, unless of course you have opted for some posts to be viewable only to some. 
  • Use the Lists feature to manage who will see your posts, updates app activity and other data.
  • Everything you ever did on Facebook is in the Activity Log feature.  Only you can see the Activity Log.

Maybe after setting up your timeline, you can check Proflowers Facebook Page. Valentines Day is just around the corner so you might to send flowers to your loved one.

Social Media Plays an Important Role

Decades ago, there were no social media as big as friendster and facebook, etc.   But now, we can say its everywhere , it has played a great part in our everyday living.  How social media greatly contributed in marketing products, government activities, showbiz, our personal lives, and even public service is greatly immeasurable.

Remember how Lola Cevera got helped thru GMA 7.   A good samaritan by the name of Rachel Sason-Reyes initiated a post in facebook which was circulated over social media until it reached GMA 7.  In more or less 24 hours, Lola Cevera is on GMA 7 and receive all the help that she deserves.

Just recently, a missing person by the name of Noemi Lagman was also all over social media.  She was found in about 100 hours of non-stop search and with the great help received from everyone active in social media.

Sit like a king

An excited molecule.  That’s how I feel about moving to Laguna next month.  Excited yet pressured and worried about how we will put everything in place.  Its going to be another major cleaning and fixing of our things at home to make it all fit inside the house.

Funny thing is, we do not have any cabinet fixings and furnitures yet.  Our cleopatra style sofa is already old and overused and Gad had had some crayon scratchings on it.  I wonder how it feels when you have good nice sofa in your sala and you can sit comfortably or even lay down while watching TV.  Oh, i’m so dreamy!  I wonder if sofas where king and queen sits in fairy tale stories are covered with microfiber upholstery fabric.  Do you think they had it during their times?  Maybe it would be best if i just have our old cleopatra re-upholstered.

You think this one will be an elegant choice of design for our cleopatra?  Hopefully I will find this in my local upholstery shop.  My boys will be sitting like a king on this one!

Facebook Profile Pictures

Ever wondered why most of our friends profile on facebook were cartoon characters?  Its was because of the campaign called “Campaign to End Violence Against Children”, which was alledgely initiated by someone in Greece,  see it this link will work, here. And the way to support the campaign is to have your facebook profile picture change to your favorite cartoon character. Though the campaign was only initiated and promoted until 6th December, I think it was a success, a lot of people supported the campaign by changing their profile pictures.

Well, I really have nothing to say much, this post is one of my blah blah, I overheard group of friends last night on my way home wondering why most facebook profiles were cartoon characters, and I just thought of writing about it.
