Most of us have actually heard of yoga and we may know as well that its a form of exercise and relaxation as well.

Today, I wanted to tell you about benefits we can get from you. At the end of this, hope you will know more about yoga.

Yoga keeps our body strong. Making our feet, legs, abdominals, shoulder and hands strong.

It helps us with our flexibility. This is beneficial to those suffering with osteoarthritis or rheumatoid.

It improves endurance in a more athletic form.

Yoga, specifically Hatha yoga can relieve chronic back and neck pain. This is what i definitely need, my back pain slows me down a lot.

Yoga also improve bone density.

Wow, knowing all this really makes me want to enroll to a yoga class. I should get my yoga apparel. Maybe my friend Dea can help me cause she used to do yoga.

Are you still thinking of what phone to buy until now? You might want to consider the new

Ok pretty ladies, it is that time of year again…support of breast cancer awareness!

So we all remember last year’s game of writing your bra color as your status? Or the way we like to have our handbag handy?

Last year, so many people took part that it made national news… and the constant updating of status reminded everyone why we’re doing this and helped raise awareness!

Do NOT tell any males what the statuses mean…keep them guessing!! And please copy and paste (in a message) this to all your female friends.

The idea is to choose the month you were born and the day you were born. Pass this on to the GIRLS ONLY and let’s see how far it reaches around. The last one about the bra went around all over the world. Your status should say “I am going to Mexico for 21 months.”The day you were born should be how many months you are gone.

January – Mexico
February – London
March – Miami
April – Dominican Republic
May – France
June – St Petersburg
July – Austria
August – Germany
September – New York
October – Amsterdam
November – Las Vegas
December – Columbia
Do it don’t be a spoil sport and show ur awareness for Breast Cancer

This was taken while we were waiting for Dr Tanbuliong, at Chinese General Hospital he is Inay’s surgeon. The doctor requested series of Femur and Pelvis x-rays to see how intact the inplant in  her left thigh.  We were all happy when Dr. Tanbuliong said everything is good as it was expected.  Inay can walk straight even without her steel walker, all we need to work on is to support her morally to have the courage to let go of her walker.

I took half day vacation from the office so Tito Roger and me can accompany Inay to the doctor.  We picked up Tita Rose along the way to the hospital. My Lola really strong at 86.  Tito Roger felt uneasy taking this picture though the shot looked perfect.

They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away.  I’ve heard of this saying since time immemorial but I do not really know any scientific explanation for this.  Well,  I don’t really care about its scientific explanation because I do not contest that.

I am happy that I have already finished my annual physical exam with Maxicare and I have a fair result so to speak. My cholesterol is lower compared to what I had last year.  Urinalysis, fecalysis, blood chemistry, ecg, pap smear etc have good results according to our company doctor.  Luckily, I get so save few hundreds for not having medicines for high cholesterol.  The only note the doctor pointed out is I am a little overweight.  My body mass index does not compliment my built.

Being positive in mind, I am thinking of strategies on how I can improve my weight.  Hope I can get a really good diet plan and that is what I am determined to do.

If there is a problem that is not well given attention but being complained about most of the time, I’d say its weight management.   I am hardly not the only one. My feeling of being overweight started since I can’t remember when.  All I remember is I was never the skinny one within my group of friends, in my class and amongst my cousins.

I am in my early 30′s and I have observed my friends younger that I am also think and feel like I used to when I was their age.  Mind you, they are not as fat or obese that you can think of. Would you think that the feeling of being overweight is only within one self.  But for me, it is always best to refer to the Body Mass Index chart.  I hope I had referred to this before.

Refer to this website

If you think suppressing appetite may be helpful to avoid having excess fat is the solution I agree with that.  Thing is, how well will you do it.  I made a quick  research online and I stumble upon this list of five foods that will help you suppress appetite:
*     Drinking water
*     Green veggies such as lettuce, cabbage and other leafy vegetables
*     Pickles
*     Apples
See reference here.

I will really try this myself.  I have tried diet pills, capsules and tea like and coffee appetite suppressants, why not go something natural this time.

There are two kinds of thermometer that we can use to take our child’s body temperature. The old fashioned one with mercury deposit on one end and the newly introduced digital thermometer.  Its best that you know how to use the old fashion thermometer especially when there is an emergency and you can’t find a digital thermometer. Make sure that the battery of the digital one is in good running condition to get the accurate temperature.

These thermometer can be used rectally, orally, or under the arm although there are some that are specially designed to use in the rectum.  Mothers, its very important that you designate a thermometer for rectum use only because you don’t want infections adding up to your childs condition.

If your child has just taken his bath, you may want to wait up to about 20 minutes to take his temperature accurately.  According to professionals, rectal thermometer is the best and has accurate reading, that is why this is being used for babies under 3 months of age.  This is not done generally for toddlers, imagine how much they would hate it especially when they feel sick.

Optima Omega by Pharmanex

This is my early father’s day gift to Rey.  A bottle of Optima Omega by Pharmanex as his dietary suppliment, I got him a supply for six months which will be delivered to our place and with very good discount rate.  Ask me how to get this if you are interested, anyway, it can be delivered anywhere you are in the world.

According to the label, Pharmenex Optima Omega contains combination of the omega 3 fatty acids (including EPA and DHA), deodorized garlic and vitamin e.   This bottle of suppliment has a good amount of Omega 3 fatty acids that will make wonderful job to control or reduce blood triglycerides.  To make it simple and easy to understand, fatty acids helps in promoting normal metobolism.  According to wikipedia “The high level of omega-3 fatty acids consumed by the Inuit reduced triglycerides, heart rate, blood pressure, and atherosclerosis”.

Whoa! I am not a medical person and it pains me to explain how it helps metabolism.  Good thing, we have this friendly wikipedia where I got this explanation here. “Triglycerides, as major components of very-low-density lipoprotein (VLDL) and chylomicrons, play an important role in metabolism as energy sources and transporters of dietary fat. They contain more than twice as much energy (9 kcal/g or 38 kJ/g ) as carbohydrates and proteins. In the intestine, triglycerides are split into monoacylglycerol and free fatty acids in a process called lipolysis, with the secretion of lipases and bile, which are subsequently moved to absorptive enterocytes, cells lining the intestines. The triglycerides are rebuilt in the enterocytes from their fragments and packaged together with cholesterol and proteins to form chylomicrons. These are excreted from the cells and collected by the lymph system and transported to the large vessels near the heart before being mixed into the blood. Various tissues can capture the chylomicrons, releasing the triglycerides to be used as a source of energy. Fat and liver cells can synthesize and store triglycerides. When the body requires fatty acids as an energy source, the hormone glucagon signals the breakdown of the triglycerides by hormone-sensitive lipase to release free fatty acids. As the brain cannot utilize fatty acids as an energy source (unless converted to a ketone), the glycerol component of triglycerides can be converted into glucose, via glycolysis by conversion into Dihydroxyacetone phosphate and then into Glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate, for brain fuel when it is broken down. Fat cells may also be broken down for that reason, if the brain’s needs ever outweigh the body’s.”

I’ll stop here, my nose is already bleeding….

Solution for Tendonitis

Have you heard of Tennis Elbow or Golfer’s Elbow, its the same as tendonitis?  I am not so much into sport actually and I was not even aware that there are medical cases called such until I saw a pneumatic armband from my police officer cousin.

This product has the following features, focused aircell compression, easy to apply and breathable material.  It only has one size so when I fitted my cousins armband, it also fits me.  My cousin likes to play tennis a lot and he said that with this gadget, he’s able to eliminate the pain on his elbow and keep on playing as he like.  By the way, it comes in two colors, beige and black.  Visit this site where my cousin ordered it. Here.

I am really bothered with my weight gain this past few days.  I have lost weight early this year when I took my friends advise about weight loss.  Sad to say, my good old friend vocal cord nodule visited me and seem like he doesn’t want to go away.

I consulted my ENT and I had no choice but to stop my weight loss regimen.  I think I am ok now, I don’t experience much hoarseness with my voice recently.  I am so much tempted again to have another try to lose some weight.  Hope anyone can give me feedback and advise which between the two is best OxyElite Pro or TRA Complex.

OxyElite Pro claims that it ”has been designed to burn away fat, define muscle mass, and boost the metabolism.” While TRA Complex, it wont attack my liver.  Anyone who can give me feedback, please.
