One of the things that I am really proud of about my town is its strict “No to Plastic Policy”. This policy is not new to some other town or city but I am proud to say that the City of Imus have successfully inculcated this to its citizens.
According to Provincial Ordinance 007-2012 which was approved in 2012, the Province of Cavite will support the campaign to minimize use of plastics for goods and services to promote elimination of residual waste. Therefore, this brings up promotion of using eco bags.
Had this policy been strictly implemented few decades ago, the country could have saved it self from many disasters caused by pollutions and bad garbage management. However, starting it this time is a good start because we are saving the next generation future.
I am a happy citizen who abide to this ordinance that is why I am happy to use my mini burlap bags. Luckily, I have plenty of these bags that fits for many occasion and that includes my frequent visit to the supermarket.
