Pay day please be quick

Today is the 13th of the month and all of us in the office are waiting for the payday to come.  Remember, I once mentioned that we only get our pay once a month, every 15th of each month.

It took me a while to adjust myself and manage my finances with this pay scheme in the office.  All other works I had in the past pays two times a month but not this company. Our company was able to explain it to us why the do it this way though I was not really interested to remember their explanation. I am already happy getting my pay and having this job.

I was able to get by with this scheme and so are my colleagues.  In trying times, I could cash advance from our local cooperative set up also by the company.   Another favor the company does to us is paying us not later than the 14th of each month.  I have been here for more than three years and there was no instance I remember we got our pay on the actual payday. It is always early and we are all happy with it.   Though its always like this, we can never blame if they decide to pay us on the 15th.  So if our luck continuous until tomorrow, we will get our pay.

Recently I posted the pictures we had during our 4th year anniversary that we celebrated in Pamana Restaurant in Tagaytay.  I have not mentioned about the gift I got from my hubby for our anniversary.  So here you go, I will let you get a glimpse of the picture.

There you go, a three-red-roses bouquet of flowers bundled in pink silk-like wrapper. This is the 2nd bouquet of flowers I got from my husband.  First one was on our 1st wedding anniversary. Of course I still have a picture of it and I would feel guilty not to show it off here.

I think I will be collecting pictures of bouquet of flowers from my hubby during our whole marriage life.  He does not give this to me very often, and it feels like I am getting trophies whenever I get one from him.  But of course, here is the best trophy I got…we both got this one.

My son was lucky to collect one of the New Philippine Peso Bill!  He got this crunchy bill from one of his Lola who has a relative that works for a bank, I think there are only few yet in the circulation.

Due to my curiosity for the new generation bank notes, I managed to find a picture that shows all the new bills in the web.

The new bills have security features and fresh look. Security features includes embossed prints, serial numbers, security fibers, water marks, see-through marks, concealed value and security thread.  Fresh look would be the same old photos in our current banknotes but with a youthful images of our old presidents or heroes and heroines while the reverse side shows natural wonders of the Philippines.  Source.

The very first payroll account I had is from BPI, that was way way back in 1999 when I was working as a part time marketing assistant for Wendy’s Hamburgers Phil.

As years go by, I had jobs from different companies in the country and still nothing beats the convenience I am experiencing with BPI.  I pay my bills online or thru phone using my BPI account, of course I had it enrolled with Phone and Internet Banking.

I just feels sad that soon, I will not have any  regular transaction with my BPI account because our tenants in Laguna will soon vacant our place, and that means no one will deposit payment on my bank account every end of the month.

But just last night, I thought of saving ten peso coins starting today and then deposit it to my BPI account, isn’t it a smart idea.  I really hope I can keep my promise to save every Php10 coin that I will get.  I’ll have Rey help me on this new project of mine.

Excuse me, i’ll just phone him quick….
