Being out of school for more than a decade really calls for a reunion.  I am batch ’96 from Torres High School and batch 2000 in St. Scholastica’s College.  But so far, I have only attended the reunion of my highschool barkada so far.  We actually have a song for ourselves, San na nga ba ang KADA ngayon?

We already had two reunions since and it happens when one of our friend whos out of the country comes home for a visit. Photo on top was when Lhanie came to visit and this one below was when Teth came home from the US. Though these two does not see each other here in the country, they can see each other in the US anytime they  are both available.

I am looking forward for my college friends to have reunion with. I get some idea with my high school friend’s reunion how to set it up and ensure everyone have fun. Its best to hook your friend up when they are all available all at the same place and time.  A day will not be enough to chat with all of them, except that all of have families already so we can’t stay over at one place for an overnight.

My deepest apology, I’ve not been blogging a lot lately because of a lot things that keeps me busy. I made a list below to enumerate a few, honestly, I am looking forward to scratch the listed things here one by one.

-trying hard to efficiently plan the coming move to Laguna, which will be on the evening of February 19
-practice driving as often as I could, I am not yet confident that I can drive home from work going home to Binan, Laguna
-studying the business I just got into, though I am phasing really due to a lot of things to do simultaneously.
-catching up with good old friends and making up with the lost time

Of all the things listed here, its just catching up with friends that I really enjoy and look forward to.  Two weeks ago, Rey and I meet with our highschool friends in Makati.  Last Sunday, I met with Ate Fe in Megamall, she is one of good friends in PLDT Parlance, we used to work there years ago.   I am even guilty of using our hp printers in the office to make a copy of photos way way back to share it with Ate Fe.

(Where’s Kada Now)

The original song was sung by  The APO Hiking Society.  Re-wording was done by Flordeliza Pelayo one of Kada members back between years 1995 and 1996.

I
Nagsimula ang lahat sa eskwela
Nagsama-sama dalawampu’t isa
Sa kalokohan at sa tuksuhan
Hindi maawat sa isa’t isa

II
Madalas ang tambay sa mga bleachers
Isang barkada na kay saya
Laging may hawak-hawak na cassette at tapes
Konting ugong lang, maghe-head bang na

Chorus
Kay simple lang ng buhay nuon
Kahit may mabibigat na suliranin
Problema namin laging kulang ang datung.
San na nga ba ang Kada ngayon

III
Sa pamliligaw kayo’y magkasama
Magkasabwat sa pambobola
Walang sekreto kayong tinatago
O kay sarap ng samahang barkada

IV
*Meron din naman mga alitan
Sama ng loob at mga tampuhan
Ito ay bagay na hindi maiwasan
Sa loob ng isang barkadahan

V
Nandyang awayin ni Teteth si Lanie
Feeling out of place naman si Vannie
Si Irvin, iniwan si Dayana
Dahil kay Reynald umiyak si Hilda

Repeat Chorus

VI
Sabi ni Jenny si Flor daw ay prangka
Minsan ito’y nakakasakit na
Ayaw naman ni Che che ng away
Bakit si Wendell kanyang inaway

VII
Si Danilo’y naging masakitin
Si Dennis man ay na-confine din
Ganun pa man sila ay di umaayaw
Basta’t si Joel magaling sumayaw

Repeat Chorus

VIII
Si Jeffrey hanggang ngayon ay bulol
Si Michael kay Joy pumatol
Itong si Ryan nasa Tate pa
Jacq at Elton kayo na pala

IX
Contoversial si Jay sa Kada
Lourgie nasayang ang pag-ibig nya
Kailangan lang ay pakikisama
Ganyan lang talaga ang kada

Repeat Chorus til fade
